Math Project for 5th Grade Math Students (Donations from any family are welcome!!)
Dear 5th grade math Parents, Our grade will be creating an animal volume zoo the last few weeks of school when we are done with the Bridges curriculum. We will be learning about how to calculate the volume of prisms individually and combined. Students will have the opportunity to expand their knowledge by creating an animal of their choice.These animals will be created with boxes. We need your help to make this project happen. Please help your child find as many empty boxes of various sizes from home as possible to bring to school by Monday, May 15th. Students should try to find boxes that are easy to transport. Boxes larger than a backpack will be difficult to transport and wrap. We are looking to borrow some hot glue guns. The students will be using them to glue their boxes together. If you are willing to let the class borrow your hot glue gun for 2 weeks, please send it in with your child with your name and the glue gun in a box/bag. Only teachers will...
