Dear Families: The Randall School Spelling Bee will be on December 15 at 12:45 pm in the auditorium. Families of participating students may attend this event if they would like. Students can choose to participate, though if more than 3 students from a fifth grade classroom are interested, there will be a classroom bee to choose three students to attend. If you would like a copy of the school spelling bee study list, you can access it here . The National Spelling Bee draws its word list from children's books, and this year's book list is also available here .
Please remind students and parents that the Bucky Women's Basketball game is this Sunday December 11th at 1pm. If they attend with their reading log in hand they will receive prizes from Bucky. Students should have filled out the online form for 4 free tickets (emailed to parent's email address) during library/REACH. Below is the link to the form if anyone needs it last minute (can't find their emailed tickets). I can still take November reading logs next week for food prize coupons only . Students will have to attend the game to get Buckey's prizes. Book it With Bucky info Book it With Bucky online Form Thanks,
Dear 5th grade math Parents, Our grade will be creating an animal volume zoo the last few weeks of school when we are done with the Bridges curriculum. We will be learning about how to calculate the volume of prisms individually and combined. Students will have the opportunity to expand their knowledge by creating an animal of their choice. These animals will be created with boxes. We need your help to make this project happen. Please help your child find as many empty boxes of various sizes from home as possible to bring to school by Monday, May 15th. Students should try to find boxes that are easy to transport. Boxes larger than a backpack will be difficult to transport and wrap. We are looking to borrow some hot glue guns. The students will be using them to glue their boxes together. If you are willing to let the class borrow your hot glue gun for 2 weeks, please send it in with your child with your name and the glue gun in a box/bag. Only teachers will...
